Mission

This clinic is meant to treat children and adolescents age 14-18 experiencing their first episode of psychosis or have had their first psychotic episode within the past year – delivering the gold standard treatment of Coordinated Specialty Care which includes medication management, family psychoeducation groups, case management, individual therapy, peer support, and educational support. This clinic is currently not for patients in the prodrome phase of the illness or who are at clinically high risk for developing psychosis.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Age (at intake): 14-18
  • Psychosis symptoms present for less than one year as part of a diagnosable Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorder or Bipolar Disorder (we are not including Major Depressive Disorder with psychotic features)
  • IQ > 70
  • Philadelphia County resident
  • Individual and Family both willing to engage in treatment
